Still in the classroom after three decades teaching science in upstate New York, where winters still matter . . . whether in the classroom, behind a camera, or at a desk, it’s all about making complicated things understandable, and maybe even hopeful.
Teacher by day, writer when the world gets too quiet. Sometimes when it gets too loud.
Along the way, I decided that not being a catalyst is to align with inaction. So, I wrote a book as an extension of the journey that avails as I push down the jungle ahead.
Pay for my food choices at parties . . . but at least it keeps life interesting.
Produced a film about climate change by empowering students, working with them, traveling, and trusting them to handle the cameras and be a part of the storytelling. Risky creative choice that led to Amazon distribution. They learned by doing.
Started a publishing company to fill the gap between important stories and the audiences who need to hear them.
